The last day of August and how better to spend it than sitting down on the edge of the water with mangroves to my left and my Love to my right. As I looked out on the calm water, fish occasionally jumped. An elderly woman with who spoke in broken English managed to meander down the steep sloop and rest in one of the Adirondack chairs water side. Overcast and temperatures still in the 90s drew the locals to the watering hole. A BBQ was given by a local vendor from Osprey and for $15 a plate was piled with slow cooked BBQ ribs and chicken, coleslaw and pork and beans.
For dessert: feet dipped in the Gulf at Casey Key with a steady warm wind blowing while seeing rain drop in the in distance. Aah, sweet, sweet Sunday. Thank you Summer.
